Eleven 7-Elevens around the U.S. have been transformed into Kwik-E-Marts to promote The Simpsons Movie and I just happen to live right down the street from one. My son and I are big Simpsons fans so we went to check it out this morning.

It was great! They really did do a complete makeover of the store. I didn’t see any signs that said 7-11, but Kwik-E-Mart was branded everywhere. All the employees had Kwik-E-Mart shirts on and there was even a real live Apu.

There were a couple of Springfield’s (Orlando’s) finest there to keep control of the crowds. (Plus they were giving out free doughnut samples.) You could buy Krusty-O’s frosted cereal, Buzz Cola and Squishees. We bought all three along with a special Simpsons comic that told about the makeover. They also gave out Simpsons tattoos to the kids.

Great job 7-Eleven!
